Meet the inventor - Rod Hunwick
RAZABALL was designed by Rod Hunwick in early 2019, when his high-end stick razor handle broke, so he finished shaving by holding the blade cartridge in his fingertips.
He immediately felt how much more control he had over the blade position and the tension on his skin. It seemed the stick handle just got in the way and dragged the blades across the skin.
To test his idea, he built the first prototype; glueing a 1957 Chevy Corvette gear knob onto a cartridge blade. The spherical shape felt comfortable in his hand while his fingertips guided the blade.
He took his prototype to Professor Stephen Riek, a professor of Human Movement Neuroscience at the University of Queensland, who is immediately taken by the revolutionary design.
From here, almost 90 prototypes were made and tested before the birth of the current RAZABALL design and its launch in 2023 ~ after 5 years of testing and development.

How often should I change the blades?
Each blade will give around 7 shaves. You will know the blade needs changing when you feel a slight pull on the hairs. A fresh blade will reduce the chances of nicks, cuts and razor burns.
